2021 REV winners: where are they now?

REV 2021 Winner: $7,200, Debbie Harrop, Blue Raven Trading Company

What was the REV experience like?

I had such a great experience at the REV event.  I was terrified to give my presentation, but everyone was so kind and made me feel at ease.

How did this funding help your business specifically?

Shortly after receiving my grant, I opened my commercial kitchen and my grant went right to work.  I was able to purchase the additional things I needed to get started in my commercial freeze drying venture.

What are some new things that are happening in your business now?

Today my business is growing.  My freeze dried products can be found in retail locations around the state and I've purchased a building in Berthold to expand my kitchen space and increase my capacity.

How has this last year affected your business and how can others help?

I don't think I could have gotten this far as fast without the funding assistance I received from the REV grant.

What was the REV experience like? 

I had a great experience with the REV fund last year.

How did this funding help your business specifically?

The funding they gave me went to purchasing furniture for my classroom, the lockers, tables and chairs, have been a blessing to my business.

What are some new things that are happening in your business now?

This year I’m planning on getting my own building and getting the classroom licensed.

How has this last year effected your business and how can others help?

This year God has been working on my patience… I have had to practice waiting on His timing for my building project not mine😊.

I just want thank everyone for their support of my business!

What was the REV experience like? 

It was a great experience for us as a new business. Working with The Tioga Bank was so easy and they were very helpful through the whole process  

How did this funding help your business specifically?

It helped us to grow as a new business and to be more accommodating to our clients.  

What are some new things that are happening in your business now?

We have some new services including lash lifts and brow lamination! We’re excited to say we now have Surge esthetics offering their services at Luxe Beauty Bar!

How has this last year effected your business and how can others help?

We continue to keep steadily busy and are so grateful to our community and clients for keeping things local and not only supporting us but other businesses in our community.

We’re both so grateful for this opportunity and love seeing other small businesses benefit from it also!
